Taiwanese baseball holds a profound and resilient legacy. During the Japanese colonial period, local teams made multiple appearances at Japan’s prestigious Koshien tournament, laying the foundation for the sport’s deep roots in Taiwan. In the 1970s, Taiwan achieved an unprecedented milestone, securing the coveted “Triple Crown” on three occasions — clinching the Little League, Junior League, and Senior League Baseball World Championships within the same year.

Over the decades, Taiwan gradually established its presence on the international stage. However, the journey through senior-level competitions such as the Olympic Games, the Baseball World Cup, and the World Baseball Classic proved both arduous and unpredictable. Despite relentless efforts and the unwavering pursuit of championships, ultimate victories often remained elusive.

In 2024, Taiwan rewrote its baseball history. By capturing the championship title at the WBSC Premier12, Taiwan not only ended a half-century-long wait since its first “Triple Crown” victory in 1974 but also added a momentous chapter to its century-old baseball narrative. This triumph was more than a championship — it was a collective testament to the perseverance of its players, the dedication of its coaching and support teams, and the unyielding passion of its fans. The resounding chorus of Taiwan Shang Yong echoed through the stadium, marking a shared milestone for Team Taiwan and an enduring memory for the nation.

As long as the stadium lights continue to shine and the cheers from the stands endure, the glory of Taiwanese baseball will carry on, generation after generation.

臺灣棒球，在日本時代曾多次征戰日本甲子園，也曾在1970年代創下3次「三冠王」的佳績（同年獲得世界棒球錦標賽少棒、青少棒及青棒冠軍）。我們一步一步地讓世界看見臺灣棒球，然而國際成棒賽事卻路程艱辛，奧運、世錦賽、經典賽，一路走來有起有伏，每一次都全力拼奪冠軍，但卻總是抱憾而歸。

直到2024年，臺灣在世界棒球12強賽(WBSC Premier 12)勇奪冠軍，距離1974年臺灣首次獲得「三冠王」，已是相隔半世紀的等待，更為臺灣棒球百年歷史上寫下傲人的篇章。當球迷們一起高唱〈臺灣尚勇〉，球員們的拼搏、教練團與後勤團隊的努力，一同寫下屬於我們共有的記憶，屬於「Team Taiwan」的里程碑。

只要球場的燈不滅，看臺的聲音就不散，臺灣棒球的榮耀，就能繼續走下去。
