2025 高流聖誕趴｜金勾 TREE

“JINGLE TREE” is a public installation presented by the Kaohsiung Music Center during the Christmas season and serves as one of the highlights of the KMC XMAS festivities. Standing 17 meters tall, this champagne-gold Christmas tree sits along the harbor. Its name humorously plays on the Taiwanese phrase “金勾錐” (gín-kau-tsuì), meaning “cute” or “delightful,” symbolizing things that are charming and pleasing. The installation aims to bring visitors a lighthearted and joyful holiday experience.

The design draws inspiration from the intersection of the festive season, the harbor, and the music venue, exploring how a winter city can present a warm and shareable holiday atmosphere. Centered on the classic Christmas tree silhouette and champagne-gold palette, the installation uses warm luster and a sense of lightness and style to bring a gentle, understated glow to the winter harbor. This allows the festive ambience to be seen throughout the city in a relaxed, elegant way, becoming a seasonal focal point shared by both locals and travelers.

At night, red and green lighting echoes the classic Christmas colors, creating a unified visual rhythm with the light bands of the Wave Tower, the Sea Music Hall, and surrounding harbor architecture. Golden and silver gift boxes at the base symbolize sharing and blessing, while the hexagonal structure echoes the architectural language of KMC’s “coral reef cluster.” A Christmas-ball photo spot is placed at the front, allowing visitors to capture memories with friends and family against the harbor backdrop.

“Jingle TREE” aspires to become a holiday memory that connects the city, the landscape, and its people along the winter harbor.

 

「金勾 TREE」是高雄流行音樂中心於聖誕期間推出的公共裝置，為《高流聖誕趴 KMC XMAS》的一大亮點，以 17 公尺高的香檳金聖誕樹座落於海港旁。作品名稱以詼諧方式隱喻台語「金勾錐」，象徵可愛、討喜的事物，期望帶給來訪民眾輕鬆、愉悅的節慶感受。

裝置設計源自節慶、港灣與音樂場館的交會，思考冬季城市如何呈現溫暖而可共享的節日氛圍。以經典聖誕樹造型與香檳金色調為核心，透過溫暖光澤與輕盈時尚感，為冬季港灣帶來柔和、不張揚的亮度，使節慶氛圍能以更從容的方式在城市中被看見，成為市民與旅人共享時刻的節日節點。

夜間展演以紅、綠燈光呼應經典聖誕色彩，並與海音館、音浪塔及周邊港灣建築的光帶形成一致的視覺節奏。底部以金、銀禮物盒象徵分享與祝福，六角幾何底座呼應高流「珊瑚礁群」的建築語彙；正面配置聖誕球拍照點，便於民眾在港灣前與親友共同留念。

「金勾 TREE」期望在冬季港灣中，成為連結城市、景觀與人群的一段節日記憶。
